Patrick Lemmen wins bronze in Grand Prix Kronenberg
In the 1.45m Grand Prix at the Equestrian Centre de Peelbergen Patrick Lemmen placed third with Ideaal. Patrick also jumped to first place in the 1.35m and finished fourth in the 1.40m with Crocodile Dundee and Chello van het Voorbos Z. With these achievements he made it into the Dutch newspaper.
“This is a nice end to a successful weekend. This is what makes my job so great”, refers the Limburger rider to his employer Carpe Diem Equestrian Team. For more than 1.5 years Lemmen has worked for the Turkish party, who have realized an ultra-luxurious stable in Baarlo. “Before I worked for Henk van den Broek for more than ten years. So I did have some doubt whether I should make the move.
Just about everything I know, I have Henk van den Broek to thank for. But at Carpe Diem there was the possibility that I could ride more international competitions. That has been the deciding factor. Although I have always worked for Henk with great pleasure, I have not regretted the choice to start riding for Efe Siyahi and Avni Atabek for a moment. In the meantime Efe also started training Henk, so everything is has come together. It was a bit of a change at first, the Turkish mentality is very different from the Dutch. But everyone at Carpe Diem is super motivated and very dedicated to developing their stable and riding and I am happy to contribute to that and work with such a great team.”
